Elevation Polish: Wyoming the Wild Collection
A beautiful collection inspired by Lulu's camping trip with friends in Wyoming. I think this collection is perfectly balanced and has something for everyone. I truly enjoyed every polish in this collection, but have narrowed down my top 3.
This collection launches on 4/7/15 at 9pm, central. The second restock is on 4/22/15 at 9am, central. Shall we take a look?
Iceberg Lake: Dusty jade with a pearl micro-shimmer.
I applied 2 coats with top coat. I found this polish easy to work with and self-leveling. I loved this one a lot and would put this as my third favorite of the collection.
Here is what Lulu had to say about Iceberg Lake: Dusty jade/mint with pearl micro shimmer. It’s got the softest of pearl shimmers. Just like iceberg lake it twinkles softly encouraging you to look at it really closely. The subtleness of the shimmer may not pick up on all cameras but it’s there. I recommend, thin coats, drying between coats, 3 thin layers.
Cloud Peak: Blue with multi colored and black flake shimmer with a sparse holographic.
I applied 2 coats with top coat. Another awesome formula. Not too thick or thin and self-leveling. This is my favorite of the collection and I already want to wear it again.
Here is what Lulu had to say about Cloud Peak: Blue with black and multi colored flake shimmer, sparse holographic. That sort of says it all because it has it all. I originally made this to test out the new to me ingredient. Ultra chrome flakes. I wanted to add everything to see what would happen the result turned out beautiful like the sky on top of cloud peak. 2 coats should do the trick.
Grand Teton Sunset: Purple creme.
I applied 2 coats without top coat. I recommend thin coats for this polish. When I wore it the first time I applied medium to thick coats and got some bubbling. With thin coats I had zero bubbling. This is a new formula and has a built in top coat. I wore this for 4 days and only had minor tip wear on one nail. Please see Lulu's additional notes on this one. This polish will look different based on skin tone. I am showing it below the ways it looked on me most.
What Lulu had to say about Grand Teton Sunset: Purple Creme. This is a new formula for elevation. This has a built in top coat. Because of the built in top coat it does not play well when additional top coat is added, it makes the color streaky. This color will look different depending on your skin tone. It can lean blue, it can be soft, it can be bright. It’s the kind of color that makes cameras freak out. 2 to 3 coats for full coverage.
Whoa Jackson Hole: Griege/taupe (thermal) holographic with silver shimmers.
1 applied 2 coats with top coat. This polish has a thicker formula, but is in my opinion the perfect formula. Applied smoothly. This is my second favorite. When cold the polish is a darker shade, when warm it gets slightly lighter. Lu says it is subtle, but I personally noticed.
What Lulu had to say about Whoa Jackson Hole: Grey/Griege/Taupe Thermal Holographic, silver shimmer. The thermal aspects to this polish are super super subtle and you might not even notice it. The silver shimmer takes center stage and the soft holographic (low density) adds a nice little twinkle. Thicker style polish, dries slightly matte, 2 coats for full coverage.
Thunder Basin: Dark Brown Creme.
2 coats with top coat. This one also had the perfect formula for the type of color and finish it is. Not too thick or thin and again, self-leveling. This one is very dark, but definitely reads less harsh than a black would. Love it!
What Lu had to say about Thunder Basin: Dark Brown Creme. Over the years I’ve been asked why a brown creme has never been in the line up. Since it’s my favorite polish color. It took me a long time to figure out what my perfect brown creme would be. It’s like a dark milk chocolate, thinner formula style creme. I think I found the perfect balance of formula and color.
Hidden Falls: 23k gold nugget topper.
I applied one coat over Thunder Basin (and LOVED it). I only needed to dab a few places for more coverage. Not fussy to work with in my opinion.
What Lulu had to say about Hidden Falls: 23K Gold Nugget Topper. Made from real 23K gold, each piece of gold is hand rolled and measured to get a precise amount of gold per bottle. It features larger pieces of gold than most other gold toppers. Because of the time it takes to make just one bottle, and the gold itself. It does come with a $25.00 price tag.
Fireflies in a Dark Meadow: Black crelly with ultra chrome flake shimmer and gold flake shimmer.
I applied 2 coats with top coat. Slightly thicker formula, but again I think it is the perfect formula for this polish. Easy to work with, no issues to report.
What Lu had to say about Fireflies in a dark meadow: Black creme/jelly with ultra chrome flake shimmer, gold flake shimmer. One of my most requested SBPs is now part of the core collection with a few slight adjustments. The opacity is ramped up, the gold shimmer given the top billing and the multi-color/ ultra chrome flakes, light up as your hand position changes.
Non-collection polish that will also be releasing on the 7th.
Khongoryn Els: Purple/taupe with an overall purple sheen/glow.
3 coats with top coat. Thinner style formula. Easy to work with, no issues to report. *This is a re-release with no tweaks to the original.
